Check-In & Baggage Drop-Off

Start your journey seamlessly by checking in on time and dropping off your baggage at the correct counter. Learn how to prepare your documents, choose the best check-in option, and save time at the terminal.

Online check-in Online check-in

Most airlines open online check-in 24–48 hours before departure. This allows you to select your seat, confirm your baggage, and get your boarding pass before reaching the airport.

If you have checked baggage, simply go to your airline’s Bag Drop counter when you arrive.

Airport check-in Airport check-in

If you haven’t checked in online, visit your airline’s check-in counter in the departure hall. Counters typically open several hours before departure depending on the airline.

Have your passport, booking confirmation and travel documents ready. Staff will issue your boarding pass and take any checked luggage.

Tip: Please ensure that you have your ticket, valid passport and ID with you when coming to the airport. Passengers with no ID will not be accepted on board. It is obligatory for all passengers, including children and infants, to present their ID during check-in procedures.

Self-service kiosks Self-service kiosks

Some airlines offer quick self-service kiosks where you can check in, print your boarding pass, and print baggage tags. After tagging your bag, continue to the Bag Drop counter.

Ideal for:

  • Travellers with carry-on only
  • Passengers already checked in online
  • Anyone wanting a faster, contactless experience

Drop off your baggage Drop off your baggage

If you’ve already checked in online or at a kiosk, go to your airline’s Bag Drop counter. Your bag will be weighed, tagged and sent into the baggage system. Ensure your suitcase is closed securely, labelled correctly, and meets your airline’s allowance.

Large items such as skis, instruments, bikes, or heavy equipment must be processed at the Oversized Baggage Counter after check-in.

Tip:

  • Remove old tags from previous flights
  • Keep boarding passes and ID accessible
  • Oversized or heavy items must go to the dedicated oversized baggage counter

Check-In Pets Check-In Pets

Dogs, cats, birds and other animals may travel only with prior approval from your airline and must be accompanied by an adult passenger. You must present all veterinary certificates and documents required by the authorities of every country on your route.

Pet containers must:

  • Allow air circulation
  • Have a waterproof bottom lined with absorbent material

(For birds) be covered with a dense, opaque cloth

The weight of the animal, container and food is not included in your free baggage allowance and is charged according to your airline’s rules.

Pets weighing over 8 kg (including the container) must be transported as checked baggage in the aircraft’s insulated luggage compartment.
If the aircraft type does not have an insulated compartment, animals may be carried in the cabin only with the consent of nearby passengers.

Guide dogs:

Guide dogs travel free of charge, do not require a cage, and are accepted beyond the free baggage allowance. The dog must wear a collar and muzzle and remain tied at the owner’s feet.
