Checked Baggage (Hold Luggage)
Your airline sets the weight, size and number of bags allowed. Please check your ticket or airline website before packing. Make sure your suitcase is strong, securely closed and clearly labelled on both the inside and outside.
Fragile or valuable items should not be placed in checked baggage. Some items—such as lithium batteries or power banks—are not permitted in the hold. Oversized bags or sports equipment may require special check-in procedures.
Cabin Baggage (Carry-on)
Cabin baggage size and weight limits depend on your airline. Most airlines allow one bag that fits in the overhead bin, plus a small personal item. Many airlines follow the IATA recommended dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
Liquids, gels and aerosols must be in containers of 100 ml or less, inside a transparent 1-litre bag. Laptops, tablets and large electronics may need to be removed during security checks. Keep travel documents, valuables and medication in your cabin bag.
Permitted & Prohibited Items
For safety reasons, dangerous goods are not allowed in checked or cabin baggage. These include weapons, explosives, flammable liquids, and certain chemicals.
Lithium batteries and power banks must be carried in cabin baggage only. Some sports equipment and sharp objects are also restricted. Always check the rules before you travel, especially if connecting through another country.
Oversized, Bulky & Special Items
Large items such as strollers, bicycles, skis, musical instruments or heavy equipment may require special processing. These items must often be checked at a dedicated counter and may require advance registration with your airline.
If you’re travelling with delicate or valuable instruments, ask your airline whether cabin transport is possible or whether a separate seat is needed.
