ALMATY AIRPORT IS THE FIRST IN THE CIS TO RECIEVE AN INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE OF PASSENGER SAFETY IN THE CONDITIONS OF A PANDEMIC

The airport accreditation program is implemented by the International Airports Council (ACI). This accreditation is intended to convince travelers that the airport facilities remain safe and that measures are being taken to reduce any risk to their health.

The certificate was issued on the basis of an analysis of the provision of quarantine measures at the Almaty airport, conditions for passengers, disinfection measures, as well as the organization of the work of services involved in passenger service.

"After reviewing the evidence presented during our assessment, your airport has shown that it provides a safe holiday for all travelers, and meets the recommended medical measures for restarting and restoring the aviation industry, established by the ACI, and the tasks for restoring aviation of the ICAO Council," the welcome letter says.

This accreditation is valid for 12 months.
